On 5 January 2026, a donation programme was conducted at Ibbagamuwa Central College, during which essential school stationery and 100 school backpacks were distributed to students. In addition, 36 backpacks were provided to children displaced by the recent floods. The total value of the programme was approximately LKR 550,000.

This initiative was fully organized and implemented by the Past Pupils’  Association – 2001 Batch, reviving a project that had been inactive for nearly three years after being carried out continuously in the past.

The Past Pupils’ Association sincerely thanks all members of the 2001 batch for their contributions, with special appreciation to Darshana Chandramalee, Brother Jayasundara (Treasurer and Batch Coordinator), Ms. Sandeep Passion, Mahesh Wickramanayake, and Anuhas Priyankara. Appreciation is also extended to Lasantha Rathnayaka for providing T-shirts, Deputy Principal Niranjala Kolambage for coordinating the event, Principal Mrs. Devika Herath for her support, and Ashoka Kulathilake, Hon. Secretary of the Past Pupils’ Association, who was present at the programme.

This effort highlights the continued commitment of past students toward the well-being and education of the younger generation.
